Delete your account
You can delete your GoreChess account yourself, from inside the game, in about a minute. You do not need to email anyone, wait for a reply, or install anything.
How to delete it
- Open gorechess.com, or the GoreChess app.
- Open the account panel — tap 🔒 Secure your account on the home screen, or 👤 Your account if you have already attached an email.
- Tap Delete my account at the bottom of that panel.
- Confirm twice. The deletion happens immediately.
On a different device or browser? Until you attach an email to it, a GoreChess account exists only in the browser that created it — so the account you want may simply not be present where you are looking. If you did attach an email, open the account panel, choose I already have an account — restore it, sign in with that address, then open 👤 Your account and delete.
What is deleted, and what is not

Anonymised match records. The games you played are also your opponents'
history and the reason their rating is what it is, so the games themselves remain.
Your handle is replaced with an anonymous tag, and nothing left in them points back
to you. Purchase receipts, for as long as tax and accounting law requires. These record that a payment happened, not who you are. |
A Tactical Nuke is not refunded when you delete your account. It is destroyed along with everything else. If you want a refund, ask for one before deleting — once the account is gone we cannot restore it, and neither can you, even by signing up again with the same email.
If you cannot sign in
Email spindola.software@gmail.com from the address attached to the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when it is done.
