Privacy Policy
What we collect
Account. When you first open GoreChess an anonymous account is created for you, identified by a random ID. You can play without giving us your real name, email address, or phone number.
Email address, only if you secure your account. If you choose Secure your account, we store the email address you enter and a password, which our processor Supabase keeps only as a hash. We use the email address only to sign you in, to confirm the address, and to recover the account. It is never shown to other players, and it is deleted when you delete your account.
Profile you choose. The handle and avatar you pick. Your handle is visible to other players you are matched against.
Game data. Your rating, wins, losses, draws, games played, and in-game capture count, plus records of matches you play, including the moves.
Purchases. If you buy a Tactical Nuke we store which store it came from, the store's transaction identifier, the amount, and whether it was granted or refunded.
What we do not collect
- We never see your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play Billing or by Stripe. Your card number never reaches our servers.
- No location data.
- No contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone access.
- No advertising identifiers. GoreChess contains no ads.
- No third-party analytics or tracking.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use these processors to run the game:

Your handle, avatar, and rating are shown to other players when you are matched with them — that is the point of a multiplayer game. Your email address never is.
How long we keep it
Account and game data are kept while your account exists. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, typically seven years.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the game: open the account panel (🔒 Secure your account on the home screen, or 👤 Your account once it is secured) and choose Delete my account. Step-by-step instructions are on the account deletion page.
Deleting destroys your sign-in (including your email address), handle, avatar, rating, record and any Tactical Nuke you own. A Nuke is not refunded. The matches you played do remain, because they are also your opponents' history and the reason their rating is what it is — but your handle in them is replaced with an anonymous tag, and nothing left in them identifies you. Purchase records are retained where the law requires it.
If you cannot sign in, email spindola.software@gmail.com and we will delete the account for you.
Children
GoreChess depicts stylised cartoon violence and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above and post the new version here.
